He was taken by his companions to a police checkpoint and subsequently transported by ambulance to Kayseri City Hospital; it is reported that he is in good condition.

In the Yeşilyurt neighborhood of the Melikgazi district, a man identified as F.T. was attending a military send-off celebration when the shotgun he had been using to fire shots into the air discharged accidentally while he was loading or unloading it, striking him in the leg.
F.T. was taken by his companions to a police checkpoint on the Sivas-Kayseri highway, from where he was transported to Kayseri City Hospital via an ambulance summoned by the officers.
He has since been admitted for treatment, and it is reported that his condition is good.
An investigation into the incident is currently underway.
