SOUTH AFRICAN AUTHOR PUBLISHES 370 BOOKS USING ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE
A South African author published 370 books in 20 months using AI.
One of her AI novels has reached the top 100 bestsellers on Amazon.
A South African writer has published nearly 400 books created using artificial intelligence in 20 months , earning over a million dollars.According to adevarul.ro , Coral Hart is the pseudonym of a woman in her forties from Cape Town. She conceals her real name and publishes under several pseudonyms. She previously wrote her own books, but in February 2025, she switched to AI. Since then, she claims to have published 371 books.
Before starting to publish AI-generated books, she worked in publishing for 14 years and wrote dozens of books without any artificial intelligence. It took her three months to master AI models and develop a system capable of creating full-fledged books.
How does this work
These days, she uses a whole arsenal of tools: ChatGPT, which is “great for dialogue”; Claude, which is “incredible for prose”; and Grok, which she says is “completely insane” but good for writing erotica.First, she defines the plot, style, and characters—describing them in as much detail as possible—and also creates a step-by-step outline of chapters and a summary of each; only then does she “generate the book.”
“When I first started,” she recalls, “I could only write one paragraph at a time, and each required two or three prompts. Today, I can create a first draft in one sitting.”
The initial draft is run through an AI-powered program that refines style and ensures “plot coherence and factual consistency.” The second version is refined for style and flow. Finally, a human editor reviews the content, clarifies details, and rewrites individual sections. One of her AI novels has made it into the top 100 bestsellers on Amazon, although the vast majority of the 371 books she has written are niche products created through deep market analysis.
That didn’t stop Coral Hart from surpassing the one million mark in sales (by her own estimate) – including digital, print, and audio formats – earning her over a million dollars in revenue in 2026 alone.
She now runs a company that has trained several hundred people in her authorial method, and is also preparing to launch an AI-powered program for writers called “Autorythm.”
She’s been called a “swindler” and a “villain.” The main criticism is that readers aren’t informed about the AI’s involvement. She claims to have received tens of thousands of angry messages and several death threats. However, the author responds: “Readers don’t read bad books; they return them.” She responds to critics that they may be irritated by the AI itself, not the quality of the writing.
