12 YEAR OLD CHILD LOSES LIFE IN FIRE AT A SHANTY HOUSE
A 12-year-old boy lost his life in a fire that broke out in a shantytown in Maltepe, and his parents were rescued with injuries.
The fire broke out for an unknown reason at around 06.50 in a shanty house on Hasan Bey Street in Maltepe Gülsuyu District. Upon the notice of those who noticed the fire, many fire brigade, health and police teams were dispatched to the scene. While firefighters intervened in the fire, they started working to save the family trapped in the house. As a result of the work of the teams, the injured mother and father were rescued from the house. The teams working to reach 12-year-old İbrahim K., who was at home, found the child’s lifeless body as a result of a detailed search. İbrahim K.’s body was taken to the morgue after examination.
An investigation into the fire has been launched.
