JOURNALIST BAHADIR ÖZGÜR WHO HAD BEEN TAKEN INTO CUSTODY HAS BEEN RELEASED

Journalist Bahadır Özgür, who was taken into custody on October 15 on charges of “violating the confidentiality of an investigation” in connection with a probe into a fund, has been released under judicial control measures.

Following the completion of police procedures, journalist Bahadır Özgür—detained as part of an investigation conducted by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office—was taken to the Istanbul Courthouse in Çağlayan to provide a statement. RELEASED UNDER JUDICIAL CONTROL: After giving his statement to the prosecutor, Özgür was referred to the duty magistrate judge. The court ordered his release, subject to judicial control measures, in relation to the accusation of “violating the confidentiality of an investigation.”
