APPLE’S NEW LAPTOP ONCE AGAIN FEATURES AN ILLUMINATED LOGO
Apple unveiled a new MacBook Pro with a touchscreen: the “apple” logo is back on the back.
The price of the new Apple laptop starts at $2,899.
Apple unveiled a new MacBook Pro with an OLED touchscreen. This marks the first time a MacBook has a full touchscreen display, and macOS now features a dedicated Radial Menu. It appears around your finger when you touch the screen, according to Macrumors.com .The PROLED XDR display uses OLED technology combined with advanced graphics processor algorithms and factory calibration. This, according to Apple, delivers “exceptional brightness, impressive contrast, and vivid, true-to-life colors.”
It also features an anti-glare coating that reduces glare in bright light. You can order the laptop with a nano-texture display.
The main innovation, of course, is the touch display. The touch sensor is said to be built directly into the display panel, eliminating any additional latency. Apple claims that touch interaction feels “incredibly responsive and polished.” Users can scroll webpages with a swipe, pinch to zoom, drag slides from one presentation to another, and double-tap a window to fill the entire screen.Apple says macOS automatically converts taps to clicks, so many existing apps will work with the touchscreen right out of the box.
Apple also brought back the iconic glowing logo to the back of the laptop. Apple fans had been waiting for this for 10 years: the glowing “apple” was removed during the 2016 redesign. It was then replaced with a non-lighted version.
The MacBook Pro is 1 mm thinner than the existing version and lighter: just 1.4 kg for the 14-inch model and 1.8 kg for the 16-inch model. Thanks to smaller bezels, the display size of the 16-inch MacBook Pro is now 16.3 inches, and the 14-inch model is now 14.2 inches.
The new MacBook Pro uses the same M5 Pro and M5 Max chips as the MacBook Pro models introduced in March. However, it features a redesigned cooling system that diverts warm air away from the display. It supports up to 128GB of unified memory, as well as a new six-channel sound system with deeper bass. The laptop features three Thunderbolt 5 ports, HDMI, an SDXC memory card slot, MagSafe, and a headphone jack. The new models support up to four external displays and come with Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 6. Fast charging allows the MacBook Pro to be charged to 50 percent in 30 minutes, and storage capacity reaches 16 TB.
The new MacBook Pro starts at $2,899 for the 14-inch model and $3,399 for the 16-inch model.
